#ANewChapterHasBegun Losing at state motivated Glenn Cass Just lying on the mat, as the referee raised another wrestler's arm, showing that he was the one who won. Red eyes, twitching fingers, and that terrible feeling in his stomach. Senior Glenn Cass knew that he had been defeated at the 2013 State Wrestling Meet. “Going into the match, I wasn’t really confident in myself because I had to face a pretty good wrestler,” said Cass. "So I just went out there and tried my best.” Trying your best doesn't always mean that you will win. After losing at state, Cass hit a pretty big speed bump, by not returning as a junior. He overcame the speed bump as senior by winning the Metro Wrestling meet and earning the right being called the 4th ranked wrestler in Class A. “I wasn’t really all that amazed when I founded out I was the 4th ranked wrestler. "When I won Metro's I was proud, but I knew all along I was going to win," said Cass. Head coach Marcus Hilario has to be the most proud of Cass this year. "Glenn has matured as a person on and off the mat," said Hilario. "Junior year his grades were unacceptable and I made him sit out and that was the reason why he didn't return to state."
