The concept is simple:

24 hours, 30 treadmills and teams of up to 48 members who run or walk on a treadmill to complete as many kilometres as they can. The 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge is the biggest corporate treadmill event of its kind that aims to raise over $300,000 to support families experiencing the loss and grief associated with having a child diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. While participating teams work and sweat together to reach their ultimate target of completing the 24 hour challenge, only metres away children will receive 24 hour specialised care at Very Special Kids House. With more than 800 participants taking part from organisations such as ALH Group, Commonwealth Bank and Essendon Football Club to name a few, the event is designed to engage our corporate partners through their organisation and business networks.

The Cause
When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, a family’s world is turned upside down. It is the beginning of a journey that is unpredictable and full of challenges that impacts on all family members in different ways. Very Special Kids supports more than 800 families across Victoria throughout their experience of caring for children with lifethreatening conditions, from diagnosis through to recovery or bereavement. Sadly, many of these children will not reach adulthood.
The Costs
The corporate registration fee of $5,000 covers the cost of the event, including benefits for the team and company. Importantly, participants are asked to fundraise to support Very Special Kids.
Entry Includes: • One team treadmill or spin bike in the challenge • Corporate logo on your teams treadmill or spin bike signage at the event • Corporate logo on your team page on the event website • Team singlet’s for up to 48 participants* • Signage on your team table • Food, refreshments and entertainment *Singlet sizes need to be confirmed at least 4 weeks prior to the event
