Welcome to Events on 6th! This beautiful Tacoma wedding and reception venue is the perfect backdrop for your entire wedding day. With a stunning, vaulted-ceiling chapel for your wedding, and a fun, party-ready reception hall for your celebration, there is no need to worry about the logistics of two locations or the hassle of sharing your ceremony and reception space. Your guests will enjoy cocktails and conversation in the stylish mid-century lounge and dancing under the stars in the outdoor garden courtyard. Get ready in the relaxing and romantic dressing rooms, take photos by the fantastic architecture, and know your whole day will be full of beauty and fun. Built in 1924 and renovated in 2011, Events on 6th was crafted with you in mind. Stay simple and use the beauty of the building as your decoration, or transform the space to fit your personal style. Events on 6th is a beautiful backdrop for your wedding day celebration and will provide wonderful memories for the rest of your lives. Events on 6th is centrally located in Tacoma, close to lovely outdoor photo opportunities at Wright Park, Point Defiance Park and the Ruston Way waterfront. 2018–2019 Package Availability: Fridays and Saturdays Rates and Basic Information

Friday wedding package (whole building):

5 – 8 hours (earliest start 1pm, midnight latest end time), 90-minute rehearsal (time/day TBD), and two 1-hour walkthroughs, for $2900 – $3500. Setup/Teardown of tables and chairs included.

Saturday wedding package (whole building):  

10 hours (flexible window, midnight latest end time), 90-minute rehearsal (time/day TBD), and two 1-hour walkthroughs, for $3900. Setup/Teardown of tables and chairs included. Additional hours for both packages: $200/hour

Partial Building Rentals (Limited dates):

They offer other services and 10% off! We have other vendors and florists to recommend on our website, but you may use whomever you would like, on or off-list, no other charge. Our building is wonderful; you will love the wide-open layout! • Historic vaulted-ceiling chapel, with balcony, seating for 180 • Midcentury-style lounge with bar/kitchenette & gas fireplace • Romantic & relaxing dressing rooms, additional sitting room • Reception hall with exposed-beam ceiling, strung party lights, and formal seating capacity of 180, tables and chairs and setup/teardown included for 160 (16 round tables-60”, 160 white resin chairs, a variety of rectangular tables) • Buffet/serving room & kitchen adjoining reception hall • Centrally-located garden courtyard; great natural light! • Parking lot in rear of building, additional side-street parking, possible additional parking rental The rental time encompasses the time needed for vendor dropoffs, time to decorate, have your event, remove all decorations/ items, and complete exit of guests. Taking down decorations and bringing presents to the cars and bringing out trash/ recycling usually takes about 1 hour. No decorating or setup may be done during the rehearsal. No nails, tacks, or tape. No live petals on the aisle carpet. Organ must be protected. No open flame. Any cleanup of decorations/brought-in items is the responsibility of the associated vendor. All trash must be removed (partial dumpster availability). Brooms, vacuum and trash bags will be available. Recycling is encouraged. A building manager will be on site for building-related issues. Date reservation requires $1500 down and a signed contract. Every event requires a $500 refundable security/damage deposit. Also needed: Proof of Event Insurance, which you can procure through your homeowner’s insurance, or www.wedsafe.com. If you are serving alcohol, you must also purchase a Banquet License, which can be had at the WA State Liquor website.Your bartender must be licensed, and must serve all alcohol.

Chapel, Reception Hall, and Lounge may all be rented on certain Fridays and Saturdays. More details available.

Other: We do not have linens, dishes, or silverware so those would be something either you’d rent or your caterer would provide.
