A Benchmarking System to Complete Your Balanced Assessment Program Riverside® Interim Assessments help you monitor your students’ growth toward proficiency in English Language Arts/Literacy and Math. Riverside Interim Assessments offer three parallel forms per content area for Grades 2–11 as high-quality benchmark measures to address the need for multiple data points across the year, demonstrating student growth and progress over time. Riverside Interim Assessments are designed for ease-of-use by teachers, administrators, and district personnel. MATH DOMAINS ASSESSED: At each grade level, four to five domains of the greatest importance for proficiency in math are assessed. Domains such as Operations and Algebraic Thinking, are cornerstones in the math progressions of learning for the more complex topics, such as Algebra, that come later. Relevant mathematical concepts are addressed by standards and domains at each grade level. For instance, four domains are specific to grades 2-5 in math, with a fifth, Geometry, spanning all the grade levels. At 6th grade, a new set of domains encapsulate the important concepts in math learning. By grades 8, 9, 10 and 11, additional domains and mathematical concepts are emphasized.
• Math items focus on the understanding of mathematical concepts, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving • Focus on key topics with coherent progressions across grade levels • Scores are provided for domains by grade level
