A Defibrillator can save a life! The Mürzzuschlag branch of the Austrian bank ‘Sparkasse’ gave the community a defibrillator for the town hall. The manager of the local Sparkasse, Mrs Karin Langegger and community representative, Mr Herwig Schleiblhofer recently made a useful donation – a defibrillator. A defibrillator is a device which, during cardiac arrest can stimulate the heart by an electrical shock into a normal rhythm. They can be found in many public buildings, airports and train stations and offices. The device is easy-to-use and guides the users every step of the way when life-saving help is needed. It can be used by lay people. Council office manager Dr Freidrich Lang will take responsibility for the device and thanks the donators very much for the gift. The device will be stationed in the council offices. A small group of local people will also be trained on how-to-use the device.
