You may add any of our motifs or monograms to the announcement or accessories of your choice for no additional charge, as long as it is printed in the same color and on the same side of the paper as the rest of your text. Please indicate the item code of the motif or monogram you have selected and designate its placement. Our layout artists will use their discretion in sizing. If you have something specific in mind, let us know – a proof is highly recommended.
Certain areas on the invitation have been designed to hold text. Within those areas, you have a lot of control over how text looks, such as your choice of typestyles and type sizes. However, text is limited to the areas where it is currently positioned. Custom quotes are available.
6. hebrew lettering
Please refer to Hebrew Lettering in this booklet. This service includes one free proof of the Hebrew and subsequent changes or proofs will be charged as PROOFS.
7. foreign language (proof included)
For typesetting service in a foreign language using the Roman alphabet and associated accents, add $25 per order. This price includes one proof for your approval.
8. customer artwork and photos
For file requirements go to www.checkernet.com/artwork. There are no additional charges for artwork when it is printed in the same ink color and on the same side as the rest of the item (otherwise Second Side Printing or Second Color of Ink charges will apply).
We reserve the right to resize your artwork for the best presentation. When using supplied artwork, a proof is highly recommended.
If you want a special color of thermography, matte or letterpress ink and supply us with the Pantone Matching System (PMS) number, add $100 to your order. If you supply us with a printed sample of the color that you would like matched, add $125 per order. We will come very close but cannot guarantee a perfect match. Color Matching is only available on cream or white papers. CMYK values may be supplied for digital lithography at no additional cost.
Second Color of Ink – Add a flat fee of $125 per item when a second color of ink is being added. Third Color of Ink - A d d a n a d d i t i o n a l f l a t fee of $185 per item for a third color of ink. Second Side of Printing – Add a flat fee of $125 per item when adding a second side of printing to an item that does not currently have it. In some cases the second side may need to be matte printed; we will advise you.
For quantities over 1,000, please call for a custom quote. Low Gloss Thermography – Our Low Gloss thermography is available on all items that are shown in thermography. Add $60 to your order. Please specify LOW GLOSS on your order form. Low Gloss is not available in Gold ink.

We recommend our extra heavy 37 point cream letterpress, 42 point white letterpress, 18 point cream and white vellum papers or our incredibly thick tablet invitations. Add $125 per item for the first 25 and $5 for each additional 25.

A tablet invitation is created by adhering several layers of card stock together forming an extremely thick invitation. The final piece can measure nearly 1/8” thick!
important things to note • We can create a tablet invitation starting with 2 papers and up to as many as 6 papers. • The tablet layers will be flush mount with straight cut edges. • Placing a colored paper in between cream or white papers produces a stunning seamed effect. • Add 3 days production time to your order for our tablet service.

You may add any of our motifs or monograms to the announcement or accessories of your choice for no additional charge, as long as it is printed in the same color and on the same side of the paper as the rest of your text. Please indicate the item code of the motif or monogram you have selected and designate its placement. Our layout artists will use their discretion in sizing. If you have something specific in mind, let us know – a proof is highly recommended.
Certain areas on the invitation have been designed to hold text. Within those areas, you have a lot of control over how text looks, such as your choice of typestyles and type sizes. However, text is limited to the areas where it is currently positioned. Custom quotes are available.
6. hebrew lettering
Please refer to Hebrew Lettering in this booklet. This service includes one free proof of the Hebrew and subsequent changes or proofs will be charged as PROOFS.
7. foreign language (proof included)
For typesetting service in a foreign language using the Roman alphabet and associated accents, add $25 per order. This price includes one proof for your approval.
8. customer artwork and photos
For file requirements go to www.checkernet.com/artwork. There are no additional charges for artwork when it is printed in the same ink color and on the same side as the rest of the item (otherwise Second Side Printing or Second Color of Ink charges will apply).
We reserve the right to resize your artwork for the best presentation. When using supplied artwork, a proof is highly recommended.
If you want a special color of thermography, matte or letterpress ink and supply us with the Pantone Matching System (PMS) number, add $100 to your order. If you supply us with a printed sample of the color that you would like matched, add $125 per order. We will come very close but cannot guarantee a perfect match. Color Matching is only available on cream or white papers. CMYK values may be supplied for digital lithography at no additional cost.
Second Color of Ink – Add a flat fee of $125 per item when a second color of ink is being added. Third Color of Ink - A d d a n a d d i t i o n a l f l a t fee of $185 per item for a third color of ink. Second Side of Printing – Add a flat fee of $125 per item when adding a second side of printing to an item that does not currently have it. In some cases the second side may need to be matte printed; we will advise you.
For quantities over 1,000, please call for a custom quote. Low Gloss Thermography – Our Low Gloss thermography is available on all items that are shown in thermography. Add $60 to your order. Please specify LOW GLOSS on your order form. Low Gloss is not available in Gold ink.

Second Color of Ink - Add a flat fee of $185 per item when a second color of ink is being added. Third Color of Ink - A d d a n a d d i t i o n a l f l a t fee of $215 per item for a third color of ink. For quantities over 1,000, please call for a custom quote.

13. embossing or foil stamping
Add $125 for the plate and counter plus $25 for each 25. If the area to be stamped exceeds four inches in any direction, send us the specifications and we will send you a quote.
additional customizations 14. edge painting
Available in colors coordinating to most standard inks and on any flat card. Edge painting is best shown on thicker papers. We recommend our extra heavy 37 point cream letterpress, 42 point white letterpress, 18 point cream and white vellum papers or our incredibly thick tablet invitations. Add $125 per item for the first 25 and $5 for each additional 25.
15. incredibly thick invitations - tablet service A tablet invitation is created by adhering several layers of card stock together forming an extremely thick invitation. Instructions and pricing can be found on Tablet Service in this booklet.
16. ribbons
Ribbons may be added to any item for an additional charge. See Ribbons for instructions and pricing.

Add $20 to ship blank envelopes ahead of your order in addition to the lowest tier charge of your shipping method.

Before you affix any postage to your envelopes, Checkerboard recommends that you ask the post office to weigh one completely assembled invitation to determine proper postage.

Using the appropriate Paper Price Chart above, you’ll find the price of the paper where the Price Code row meets the Quantities column. For example, when adding a paper of price code 1 to an item of Size Category B for 100 invitations, add $110 to the price of your order. to add a layer—add the cost listed for your quantity to the price of your order. to subtract a layer—subtract the cost listed for your quantity from the price of your order. to substitute a layer—add or subtract the difference between the cost of the new paper with the cost of the original paper for your quantity to the price of your order.

Incredibly Thick Invitations Tablet Service™
A tablet invitation is created by adhering several layers of card stock together forming an extremely thick invitation. The final piece can measure nearly 1/8” thick!
important things to note • We can create a tablet invitation starting with 2 papers and up to as many as 6 papers. • The tablet layers will be flush mount with straight cut edges. • Placing a colored paper in between cream or white papers produces a stunning seamed effect. • Add 3 days production time to your order for our tablet service.
how to price our tablet service • Choose your printed layer, either from an existing product or from our basic pricing at the beginning of this booklet. • Add the cost of your additional paper layers using the the Paper Price Chart on the Layering & Paper Changes page in this booklet. • Add the flat rate of $150 per item (for any quantity).
And for good measure, before you affix any postage to your envelope, we recommend that you ask the post office to weigh one completely assembled invitation to determine proper postage.
Customized Pockets and Jackets Many of our pockets and jackets can be customized with the papers of your choice. When noted, you can choose from any of our top or bottom weight papers. A flat fee of $50 will apply, along with the applicable paper changing charges which can be found on Layering & Paper Changes in this booklet.

Renaissance Kit Envelopes Renaissance kits include our heavyweight specialty envelopes which are diecut per order and handfolded.
