A-LEVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
EXAM BOARD: AQA WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW OR BE ABLE TO DO BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE? Students will be required to have Grade B in an Art and Design subject.
WHAT WILL I LEARN ON THIS COURSE? The course assumes students that have no previous photography experience. It will begin by introducing students to the basic theory and skill of film photography through a series of practical workshops. Students are expected to provide evidence through sketch books of their developing ideas and work and show how their work fits into a critical and historical context.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED? 2 mandatory units which are internally marked and externally moderated comprising of coursework, portfolio and controlled assignment.
WHAT COULD I GO ON TO DO AT THE END OF THIS COURSE? Commercial Photography, Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, Foundation Course in Art and Design.
