Quotes From the Morning Assembly In a speech at Clinton, Illinois in 1854, Abraham Lincoln said: “If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. ” Harper Lee, an author said: “We're paying the highest tribute you can pay a man. We trust him to do right. It's that simple.” Santosh Kalwar said: “Trust starts with truth and ends with truth.” William Shakespeare said: “This above all, To Thine own self Be True!” An Unknown Author tells us: “Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny!”

May a poem by John Updike Now children may go out of doors, Without their coats, To candy stores.

The apple branches and the pear May float their blossoms Through the air.

And Daddy may get out the hoe To plant tomatoes In a row

And, afterwards, May lazily Look at some baseball on TV.
