ATS Keeps Packaged Goods Manufacturer Packing— Saves Over $52,000 When a leading manufacturer of consumer packaged goods was faced with a failed palletizer, ATS quickly rose to the occasion. With no spares available for a priority one machine, the manufacturer asked ATS for help. After isolating the failed component, ATS quickly referenced its inventory network and with various Repairable Parts Management Programs located throughout the country, ATS located the critical part in stock and made it available for transfer. $10,000 savings to the customer. Realizing the min/max level had been inadvertently dropped to zero, the customer asked ATS to replenish the stockroom to a min level of 3. A local electrical distributor quoted $75,000 for the 3 components. ATS’ supply chain organization sourced the 3 items for $33,000, resulting in a 44% savings to the customer. The total cost savings provided on this project was $52,000.
