Old Business Review o Justin Reviewed old business from previous meeting Len and Becky signed off on notes. Treasury Report o Cheryl provided the treasury and financial reports. All approved 2016 Registration Discussion Totals as of 3‐7‐16 o 2016 = 77 / 2015 = 113 2016 6U = 14 / 2015 = 33 2016 8U = 27 / 2015 = 23 2016 10USP = 4 / 2015 = 9 Contact 10U slow pitch parents and asking if they would like to play fast or prefer a refund 2016 10UFP = 17 / 2015 = 19 Contact Spring 10U parents letting them know of the rule changes regarding modified coach pitch 2016 12USP = 1 / 2015 = 0 2016 12UFP = 10 / 2015 = 15 2016 15U = 4 / 2015 = 14 o Late Registration Fee will be waived and those who were charged will be refunded Western PA Softball League o Meeting held 2/28 to introduce Western PA Softball league. All beaver county teams have approved this new organization (joint league with Lawrence county) o Teams from Beaver County will play Beaver County / Lawrence County will play Lawrence County. There will be a Beaver and Lawrence county champ and a final championship game to decide Western PA Softball Champ
o League Format (Teams) Beaver North / Beaver South Lawrence North / Lawrence South o 10U / 12U Playoff format will be determined, but will most likely cross sections (north / south) then eventually cross counties. o 8U will have an large tournament to decide champion o Team registration will include ump fees and game balls o League Rules 8U, 10U, 12U Time Rules 140 time limit on all games 8U – No Changes 10U – 2hr drop dead 12U & 15U – no time limit 10U Modified coach pitch o No walking o 4 walks, coach will come into pitch. Existing count stays o No more than 2 bases on a pitch thrown by coach o Must use 2 pitchers within the first 4 innings. After 4th inning team can pitch whom ever o No coach pitch limit, will be umpires discretion No illegal pitches will be called No bunting in 10U Can bat 9 with a DB, 10, or entire line up Can play with 8 girls, but if 9th girl does not show, the 9th player will count as an out if they do not show or shows up after their initial batting order has come and gone. Base runner can lead off once pitch is released Only steal one base at a time, regardless of over throws Cannot steal home, unless a play is made on runner at 3rd 12U 3 outfielders Can bat 9 with a DB, 10, or entire line up Can play with 8 girls, but if 9th girl does not show, the 9th player will count as an out if they do not show or shows up after their initial batting order has come and gone. Playoffs Girls must have played at least 50% of the scheduled games in order to be eligible to play in playoffs Make Up Games Rain outs – Home team is responsible for rescheduling the game within 24hrs. Home team must provide the opposing team with 3 dates. If 3 dates provided do not work, game will be forfeited by opposing team

o Scheduling Meeting / Upcoming Important Dates March 26 final age group counts due April 10th – Scheduling Meeting for 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U Meeting will be held in Lawrence county on Sunday night March 10 Team roster will need to be provided Will need proof of insurance Fees will be due o $120 per 10, 12, 15u team o $20 per 8U team First Game is April 25th – Not mandatory to have a game on this day Last game is June 18th Playoffs June 20th through 24th Championship game June 28th o All‐stars will be worked the same however, Beaver County will play Lawrence County All‐stars o Clearances – No ASA Certification Needed. Must have; FBI Childline State Police o Vote taken on joining the Western PA Fast Pitch Softball League Becky and Len both motioned All attendees agreed Insurance Form o Cheryl has insurance form that is being completed by Rob and will be submitted by April Walk On Items o Concession Stand Agreement with Baseball – Becky Rob and Becky met with Baseball regarding the concession stand. Becky and Rob offered a 60 / 40 cut. Baseball will still need to manage it during their games. Baseball has responded and agreed to 60 / 40. o Mother’s Day Tournament ‐ Becky Tournament is happening Saturday May 8th / Sunday May 9th Volunteers will be needed for the concession stand. ABE Softball is responsible for concession stand and receives all profits. o Shed Door Rob suggested we install a new shed door like baseball’s shed. All agreed to new garage door for shed. o Field Days April 9th and 16th
