Turnout at SEP Conferences We want to say a big thank you to the many parents and students who came out for SEP conferences last week. Our early projections tell us we had just over 95% of families attend. Wow! Thank you! SEP Conferences make a big difference for the education of your student and for establishing worthwhile communication channels among everyone who works to support your student. And, it was plain fun to get to see everyone during those two nights. Another big thank you for the support of our Book Fair. If you didn’t have a chance to make your purchases, you can still do so online by visiting our website.

ABC Kindergarten Orientation & Registration It may seem far away, but we are quickly approaching that time of year when we begin making preparations for next school year. The first on the docket is kindergarten orientation and registration. The kindergarten orientation event will take place on Thursday, March 5 at 4:00 PM (Kindergarteners applying for open-enrollment status will receive their letters before then). Parents of incoming kindergarteners can meet the teachers, learn a little about what to expect in kindergarten, and take care of registration. The future kindergarteners themselves are also invited and will be treated to a VIP tour of Neil Armstrong Academy with Mr. Howe. All students registering will need to bring four things: •

Birth certificate

Record of immunizations

Proof of residence (not necessary for students on open-enrollment permit)

Parent ID

The Armstrong Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has hit a significant milestone. In just over a year and a half of production, ABC has surpassed 40,000 views. We want to say a hearty thank you to our many viewers for your loyalty at getting the breaking story from us. More than that, the few minutes you take to watch the highlights of ABC News each week greatly enhance the uniformity of the support we provide the Armstrong students. Each week, ABC news brings the latest happenings to the student body, teachers, and parents of Neil Armstrong Academy. Each episode is filmed at the end of the week and then played throughout the school on the first school-day of the week. The Armstrong sixth graders head up the production of each episode sitting in as anchors, on the scene as reporters, working the cameras/microphones, and directing the whole operation. Always stay in the loop at Armstrong by never missing an episode. You can see all previous episodes in the ABC archives on the website.
