8. PROCEDURE 8.1. Using the measuring tape, measure inboard 12.5” from the starboard forward edge of the bench seat.
8.2. Using the pencil, mark a vertical line on the forward edge of the bench.
8.3. Using the pencil, mark a horizontal line 1” down from the surface of the bench seat.
8.4. Measure up 3/8” from the mark made in the previous step and draw a horizontal line intersecting the vertical line made in step 8.2.

8.5. Using the 3/16” drill bit, drill through the bench seat at the point where the lines made in steps 8.2. & 8.3 intersect.
8.6. Using the 3/16” drill bit, drill into the bench seat at the point where the line made in step 8.4. intersects with the vertical line made in step 8.2. NOTE: It is not necessary to drill through the bench seat at this intersect.
8.7. Using the hardware supplied, the 3/8” wrench and the Phillips head bit, install the keeper.

8.8. Using the tape measure, measure 16” inboard from the starboard aft edge of the bench seat.
NOTE: Assure that the keepers line up directly opposite each other.
8.9. Repeat steps 8.2. through 8.7.
8.10. Tilt the bucket sport seat forward and hook the bottom lip under the forward edge of the bench seat. NOTE: There is a depression in the back of the molded piece which the installed keeper will fit into so that the seat can rest flush against the edge of the bench.

8.11. Pull the elastomer latch down and over the keeper to secure the seat.
8.12. Install the warning label next to aft keeper as shown.
Bucket Sport Seat Installation Is Complete NOTE: To reverse the seat, unhook the elastomer latch, rotate the seat 180 degrees and repeat steps 8.10. and 8.11.
NOTE: To install the bucket sport seat on the port side of the bench seat correctly it is important that both the forward and aft keepers are centered 16” from the port edge of the bench.
