Advancing the Commitment to Education Multicultural Tennis Teacher Workshop "Learn the Basics of Teaching Tennis" May 15-16, 2004 Koch Family Tennis Center 12440 W Maple Road Omaha, NE Featuring Ajay Pant, PTR Master Professional Named "2004 PTR Professional of the Year" Fee: $10.00 - Please RSVP by May 10, 2004 • May 15: Workshop - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (includes lunch) • May 16: Certification Workshop (followed by testing) - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (Only for attendees wishing to become full PTR members) REQUIREMENTS: NTRP of 3.5 or above. Each participant must volunteer 10 hours of teaching tennis in a Multicultural Community without compensation. CERTIFICATION: PTR will offer certification testing immediately following the workshop. PTR will provide a “Coaches” Membership to each attendee ($195 value). Students who wish to get certified can use this $75 credit toward becoming a full member of the Professional Tennis Registry. MATERIALS: This course will concentrate on the fundamentals of teaching to small groups of 4 to 8 students. Instant Tennis, a quick introduction to teaching tennis will also be shown in order to get people playing immediately. (All attendees will receive PTR course materials filled with instructions)
