Detail (Student record organization) The following information applies to all student records in general. More specific field layouts accompany each format's documentation.
Biographic fields Organization ID - A permanent unique identifier of an organization and its current testing program. Elements (A),(B),(C),(D),(E),(F) ,(G) - Contain information identifying the elements above the student or the levels at and above the mode. Element (E) will identify the region, element (F) the school, and element (G) the class which the student is assigned. Element number - A sequential number assigned to elements of a level as they are added to the organization. This Structure level- A number that identifies the structure level of a group within the organization. (ex: '01' = District, '02' = School) Mode structure level - A number that identifies the structure level number of the element at which the GRT is produced. Special Codes - May contain up to 26 columns of information coded on a student's answer sheet. Each column contains blank if not marked, or 0-9 if the bubble is marked. Birth date - MMDDYY Name - Same as coded on the student's answer sheet. Last name is first. C.A. - Chronological age in months at time of testing (if available for the particular test and if birth date was supplied on the student answer sheet). Gender - M or F, if marked on the answer sheet.

CURRICULUM-REFERENCED INFORMATION Curriculum-Referenced Data - This portion contains the objective information. Each objective has 2 fields: The objective performance index for that objective (3 bytes), and the mastery/partial/non-mastery indicator for that objective (1 byte).

NUMBER CORRECT/POINTS OBTAINED AND DERIVED SCORES Norm-Referenced Data - This portion contains the norm referenced score. Each score is contained in a four-byte field.
Example Scale Score: 487 528
Omitted test sections will have 'omit' reported in the derived score fields. Not applicable derived scores will have "n/a' reported in the appropriate score fields. Suppressed test sections will have 'sup' reported in the derived score fields. Invalidated test sections will have 'inv' reported in the derived score fields. Not applicable test section scores are left blank. No grade dependent scores are available for ungraded. No age dependent scores are available for adult.

ITEM RESPONSE INFORMATION The number of bytes allocated on the record per each test section is determined by the maximum number of responses possible in that section over all levels of the test. The unused positions of any section will be padded to the right with blanks.
