ADMINISTRATIVE AND ACCOUNTING SUPPORT SPECIALIST (PART TIME) Medicom Health Interactive (MHI) is an award-winning developer of interactive health awareness software. We are centrally located in the historic Mill City District of Minneapolis. This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative and accounting support of the company’s operations through:  Assisting the CEO, including: o Scheduling appointments and handling appointment preparation and follow-up o Managing document administration o Assisting in responding to client inquiries  Performing accounting work, including: o Recording bills, collecting required receipts, and preparing checks for signature o Monitoring loans and accounts payable to ensure that payments are up-to-date o Preparing invoices and processing invoice payments o Tracking accounts receivables o Processing expense reports o Verifying, recording, and paying credit card bills  Handling selected human resources duties, including: o Collecting, updating, and safeguarding employee files and other personnel information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness  Performing office management functions, including: o Requisitioning and managing supplies, services, and equipment and receiving and distributing mail and shipments o Maintaining filing systems and ensuring systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records o Handling of special events such as holiday card list, company meals, and outings Applicants for this position must have the following:  Associate's degree (A. A.) in Business Administration and Accounting or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or at least one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience  At least one year of experience performing administrative and accounting support  At least one year of experience working in a small business environment  Knowledge of accounting principles, and extensive experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software  Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel  Knowledge of HR reporting and recordkeeping requirements  Strong experience with Internet software, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint  Excellent phone and interpersonal skills  Strong attention to detail and accuracy  Positive and professional attitude  Organized and self-motivated

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple daily responsibilities independently Ability to interact with a variety of people and to remain calm in stressful situations Experience with software development and marketing firms

This is an hourly position with pay of $20/ hour. The expected work week is approximately 20 hours per week, but the actual number of hours in a given week may be more or less than this number of hours. Are you a good fit for this position?  
