Thank You! Praise Him for His powerful acts; praise Him for His abundant greatness. Psalm 150:2 “Why the long face, Stephen?” Paul asked. “Mom won’t buy me that new computer game. She says we need to save money. I’m tired of not having anything!” Stephen answered. “Not having anything? What did you have for breakfast? Look around your yard at the trees, the squirrels, and the grass. What is that in your water bottle? Oh, water! Take a deep breath and think about the air you can breathe.” Paul stopped to take a breath. Stephen laughed, “OK. I get it. God has done a lot for me. He is awesome!”
Dear God, I praise You, God, because You have done so much for me.

He Knows It All Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5 What does infinite mean? One dictionary describes infinite as “neverending and unlimited.” What do you know that is neverending or unlimited? God will last forever with no end. Because of that, we know that God’s understanding will also last forever. God understands everything that will ever happen to you. Think about the word vast. People use vast to describe things that are “immense or tremendous.” God’s power is vast. His tremendous power allows Him to completely understand you. You can trust Him with what happens in your life. He already understands it.
Dear God, Help me to remember Your power and to trust You.
The Great Barrier Reef in Australia can be seen from outer space. It is the only living thing that can be seen from space.

God Reigns
The LORD reigns! … The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken. Psalm 93:1 “Mom, David said men broke into his house. They took stuff. They threw paint everywhere. They ripped up pillows. It’s really scary,” said Aaron. “Yes, it is,” Mom said. “Sometimes bad things happen.” “It might happen to us,” said Aaron. “We live close to David’s house.” “Bad things might happen to us sometime,” answered Mom. “That’s why we need to trust God. He is in charge of the whole world. His power is more than anything else we know. Trusting God may be hard, but it is the right thing to do.”
Dear God, Help me to trust You and Your power when bad things happen around me.

Trust and Obey I know that You can do anything and no plan of Yours can be thwarted. Job 42:2 “Dad, Kim wants me to go swimming Sunday morning. I know that’s church time, but I really want to swim,” said Susan. “What should I do?” “What does the Bible say?” asked Dad. “Does the Bible talk about swimming?” Susan asked. “The Bible talks about keeping the Sabbath holy,” answered Dad. “The Sabbath would be like our Sunday. We keep it holy when we honor God.” “I think I should honor God by going to church. I’ll ask Kim if we can swim later,” said Susan.
Dear God, Help me to trust You and to obey what the Bible says.
A miracle is something only God can do. God is powerful enough to do miracles. Match the following Bible references with the miracles they describe. 1. Matthew 8:24-26

2. Matthew 9:27,29
b. Stopping a storm
3. Mark 6:41-43

Wonderful Works LORD my God, You have done many things—Your wonderful works and Your plans for us. Psalm 40:5 When I was young, my teacher asked my friends and me to create a list of wonderful things in our lives. At first, I couldn’t think of anything to write. I started looking around the room to find anything I could write down. Friends! I thought and jotted it down. I heard pencils scratching on paper. Paper! Pencils! I added. Suddenly I had lots of ideas. I know how to write. I can read. I have books. Soon my list included having a family, rainbows, and my Bible. God has done many wonderful things for me!
Dear God, Thank You for all You’ve done for me!

Only One God
Some of the largest giant clams in the world can be found in the Great Barrier Reef. They can grow to be 4 feet in length and weigh more than 500 pounds!
Lord GOD, … what god is there in heaven or on earth who can perform deeds and mighty acts like Yours? Deuteronomy 3:24 The Hebrew people saw God do amazing things. He parted the Red Sea so they could cross on dry land. He sent manna every day to feed the people. When they were thirsty, he caused water to gush from a rock. The people knew God could do anything. They learned that He was the only God. People today still see amazing, powerful things God does. Who can make the sun rise and set? Who can cause a lightning storm? Who can create a person? No one but God! God is all powerful.
Dear God, I praise You because You are the most powerful one of all.
