Owner/agents of HUD properties are subject to an annual Management Occupancy Review. Property compliance is your focus every day. Don’t let the process get you anxious! Learn how to improve your overall score, how to make the process as quick and painless as possible and how to avoid common findings. The training will include the following topics, based on guidance in the Quality Control Guide (handbook for MOR reviewers), as required areas of assessment at an MOR: Development of Policies and Procedures current with HH 4350.3, r-1, C-4 for: 1. Development of Polices & Procedures current with HH 4350.3,R-1,C-4 for: • Applicant Intake • Waiting List Management • Initial Certification, Annual Recertification, & Interim Recertification • Verification • Communication, both verbal and written, with Applicants and Tenants 2. Tools used to identify family circumstances and sources of income through the EIV System. 3. Tools used to keep your Application, TSP, and EIV documents current 4. Tools used to train staff, both on-site and corporate, on performing Income and Rent Determinations Faculty: LeadingAge California is pleased to bring Nancy Hart, president, National Resources for Housing back to California. Nancy has over thirty-five years of HUD experience, serving previously as Director of Training for NCHM in Washington, D.C., and with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority in the capacity of Occupancy Specialist, Occupancy Review Auditor, HAP Processor, Fraud Investigator and Housing Management Officer. She has been developing HUD training programs for 20 years, and since 1997 has been writing a library of training guides called HUDeez™ Quick Tips, which are used by HUD, PBCA staff, and owners/agents across the country.
