After Dark

This week in Hedgehog Class we have been learning about Diwali and the celebrations that happen during the festival. The children learnt that Diwali is the festival of lights. The children then created their own firework art; these are some of their amazing firework art pieces.

Also this week the children have been writing their own poems based on the poem ‘After Dark’ by Michael Rosen.

Outside after dark, Bats fly, After dark, after dark.

Outside after dark, Hedgehogs walk and moon shines After dark, after dark.

Inside after dark, Television talking and Mum and Dad talk, After dark, after dark.

Inside after dark, Next door shouts and owls hooting After dark, after dark.

Inside after dark, Toilets flushes and cupboards creak, After dark, After dark.

Inside after dark, Toilets flushing and lights flashing, After dark, after dark.
