AGE DIVISIONS - BREAKDOWN:
Ohio United FC is pleased to announce the development of a new Youth Soccer League in the Cincinnati, Ohio area that provides an Overall Player Development “Academy Style" alternate Soccer Program/League starting from 3 years old up to 12 years old. In addition, Players from 8 years old and older have the option to play in the league, as well as, participate in other Select or Premier Tournaments that are offered by other Select Clubs. The Ohio United Soccer League (OUSL) is a limited-travel, competitive recreation league made up of Ohio United FC Academy Districts surrounding the Tri-State Area, providing the opportunity for non-travel soccer players to participate and develop their skills in a competitive environment. Currently, we have Locations in Fairfield, Harrison, and White Oak. We are always looking for opportunity in more areas and if anyone is interested in creating an Ohio United FC Academy in their Area, please contact us at [email protected]. All Ohio United FC Player Registrations will be accepted, which means that everyone who signs-up (on time) will be assigned to an Academy Group within their District & everyone who attends a practice will play at least half of each game.
League Structure and Philosophy PHILOSOPHY The philosophy of the Ohio United Soccer League, is to allow all players Recreational or Select to fall under one umbrella, and provide them with a quality overall player development program. This will be structured and accomplished by the following:
SETUP o
Having MULTIPLE Ohio United FC Locations (Districts) throughout the Tri-State Area. Each Location/District has its own Director who controls all operations of the Location, under the Ohio United FC Guidelines. Field space is reserved within each Location Each Location will have their own Academies; broken down by Ohio United FC Guidelines (refer to table below). Academy Style Player Development – All players in a designated age group train/practice together at the same time. It is not segmented out by teams. During the weekend games teams are randomly generated by Location and Academy, and then they play against other Ohio United Locations. Players U8 and above (who selected to play tournaments) will be combined amongst all players from all Ohio United FC Locations to develop teams to play in those tournaments. PRACTICES o All Academies will practice in their District. o All players will practice at the same time within their Academy. o A Professional/Certified Trainer will conduct all Academies Volunteers are able to assist the Trainer during the Practices. GAMES o On Saturdays, Games will be scheduled at a selected Location, where all Locations will play against each other in a random team assignment pool. o Games are not looked at as winning or losing, but concentration is put on the actual player development stages in a team dynamic.
