TRANSITIONS EPISCOPAL SECRETARIES EVENT JANUARY 15-18, 2012 ST ANTHONY HOTEL / TRAVIS PARK UMC SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS AGENDA Objective: To prepare and train episcopal secretaries in the servant ministry of transitioning bishops exiting and entering a specific annual conference(s). Mission Project: Bring Shower Kits - for the Travis Park UMC Homeless Ministries -- and -Bring Warm Wool Socks - for the Homeless whom Rev. Lorenza A. Smith lives among and shares life with on a daily basis.

Important issues for your specific jurisdictional conference? 10:30 - 1:15 pm The Alamo 1 mile walk; IMAX on the Alamo; Guided tour by Sherri Driscol, who is the Museum Education Director, walk back to TPUMC. 1:15 pm Lunch - at church 2:00 – 3:00 pm Panel Dialogue & Discussion – Bishop James Dorff, Joell Stanislaus, Karen Corbitt Moderator – Ed Metzler *This will be a panel & dialogue session with both panelists and participants being able to ask questions of each other as everyone learns and strengthens skills in making transitions in Episcopal Offices a humane and caring experience for all. *Questions and responses have been collected from bishops and will be a basis for the panel time.
