Financially Sound City Providing Effective Services More Livable Eureka Community: Safe, Clean, Beautiful, and Enjoyable
DISCUSSION In March of this year, the Public Works Department applied for a grant through the Proposition 1 Storm Water Grant Program administered by the State Water Resources Control Board. The application sought to obtain a grant to create a Eureka Area Storm Water Resource Plan collaboratively with Humboldt County and the Humboldt Community Resources District. In July the City was notified that the application was successful in the amount of $394,830, and that further documentation would be required to enter into a grant agreement. One required document was an executed memorandum of understanding between the City of Eureka, County of Humboldt and Humboldt Community Services District.

Staff recommends that Council authorize the City Manager to execute the memorandum of understanding for the Eureka Area Watershed Storm Water Resource Plan.
