“Hola Español” Let's have fun speaking Spanish! Mondays: September 12th – December 12th 12 sessions Kindergarten: 2:30-3:10 1st-2nd Grade: 3:15-4:15 Wednesday: September 7th -December 14 14 sessions Kindergarten: 2:30-3:10 3rd-4th Grade: 3:15-4:15 Improve your Spanish conversation with a variety of fun games, sports and hands on activities. Enjoy the Spanish language by practicing everyday expressions and learning new vocabulary. Practice what you learn in class by playing games and simulating activities of everyday life like going to a restaurant, traveling, buying groceries and more. This will be a time for each child to express themselves in Spanish in a free and entertaining way. Tabata Cooke has a passion for teaching Spanish with a strong cultural approach which makes her an effective teacher. She is native of Colombia and has taught individual and group Spanish in Houston for the past four years. She has a Texas Teaching Certification. She received a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia. Mrs. Cooke wants her students to experience meaningful and interesting learning that they can apply to their everyday lives and future careers. She believe this can be accomplished through the cooperative learning, an integrated curriculum, and, when possible, technology and the internet. It is her goal to combine her experience and ability to become a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to her students.
