To be considered, all nominations to the Alberta Golf Distinguished Service Award must meet the following criteria: 1. Candidates must have resided within Alberta Golf territorial boundaries when the majority of extraordinary contributions to Alberta Golf and amateur golf were made; 2. A significant portion of a candidate’s contributions should have been AGA related. However, service to other national, regional, state/provincial or local golf associations may be taken into account; 3. Selfless and devoted service made “Above and beyond the call of duty” should be the main consideration for selection; 4. Recipients should be individuals of the highest character and integrity who embody the true spirit of amateur golf and have worked to protect and foster its traditions in Alberta.; 5.
