Math 8 This course is the final year of the Connected Math Program. Upon completion students will be prepared for 9th Grade Mathematics – Algebra 1 Regents/Honors

Algebra Elective (optional) 

Students that plan to take the Common Core Algebra 1 Regents in June must take this course.



Students that pass Math 8 and the Algebra Elective and the Common Core Algebra 1 Regents will receive 1 credit of Math on their High School transcript.



These students will continue their studies in mathematics by enrolling in Geometry Regents/Honors in 9th grade.

This course is a separate math course from your child’s Math 8 class Your child will have additional homework, tests and quizzes It is a challenging course for students who enjoy a challenge and are looking to enrich their middle school math experience. This course will replace one of your child’s 8th grade electives
