Algona Morwens Kiwanis Board Meeting March 28, 2014 The March monthly Algona Morwens Kiwanis Board meeting was called to order on Friday March 28, 2014 at 7:04 AM by President Dave Rochleau. Members present were Sue Hobson, Frank Merrill, Bob Jennings, Chuck Kline, Rick Murphy, Bill Hobson, Floyd Hutzell, Rodney Davis, Mike Nerison, Lynn Kueck, Dave Rochleau, Lori Jorgenson, Scott Curtis, Walt Reemtsma and Becky Kuper. The Secretary’s report was approved as written. Treasurer’s Report – Approved as well as motion carried to again pay $1000.00 to YMCA Banner and $500.00 to Pastor Holmer for the upcoming International Convention in Japan. Committee Reports/Updates Walk A Mile In Her Shoes – will look for volunteer at general membership meeting Skip-A-Meal – April 9 – will pass hat rather than ‘skip the meal’. Camp OK – Boone Iowa. Early June. Have candidate from Middle School Annual Bicycle Helmet and Rodeo – May 1, 2 and Rodeo May 6. Will help noon club Membership Drive – 15 names turned in so far. Invite potential new members May 7. Kiwanis One Day – Nationally scheduled for April 5. Dave will talk to Noon Club for joint activity Received Thank You from Kossuth Saddle Club for our donation. Rape Awareness – Thursday April 24 at KC Hall for boys in high school. We are encouraged to attend wearing our Kiwanis Shirts as we are sponsoring the activity. Howard Omdahl accepted the position of Lt. Gov. for our Division next year.
