怎么煮水饺? zěnme zhǔ shuǐjiǎo? How do you make dumplings?
1:
用一个汤锅煮水,水煮开了以后,把水饺放进去煮。 yòng yī gè tāngguō zhǔ shuǐ, shuǐ zhǔ kāi le yǐhòu, bǎ shuǐjiǎo fàng jìnqù zhǔ。 Use a soup pot to heat water. Once the water has reached a rolling boil, place the dumplings inside the pot to cook.

等到水滚了,就加一碗冷水,盖上锅盖。 děngdào shuǐ gǔn le, jiù jiā yī wǎn lěngshuǐ, gàishàng guōgài。 Once the water has reached a rolling boil, add one bowl of cold water and pop the lid on.

水滚了第二次的时候,要是饺子都浮在水面,就可以捞起来;要是大部 分的饺子都还没浮上来,就再加一碗水,再滚一次。 shuǐ gǔn le dì èr cì de shíhou, yàoshì jiǎozi dōu fú zài shuǐ miàn, jiù kěyǐ lāo qǐlái; yàoshì dàbùfēn de jiǎozi dōu hái méi fú shànglái, jiù zài jiā yī wǎn shuǐ, zài gǔn yīcì。 Once the water has reached boiling point the second time round and all the dumplings are floating on the surface of the water, you can fish them all up. If most of
the dumplings are still at the bottom, add another bowl of cold water and heat to boiling point again.

等到饺子全都浮起来,就可以吃了! děngdào jiǎozi quándōu fú qǐlái, jiù kěyǐ chī le! Once all the dumplings are floating on the surface of the water, they are ready to eat!
