Ben Koller (drums): “Is this Blue Öyster Cult?” Matt Woods (bass): “It sounds like a leaf blower.” Brian Izzi (guitar): “Is this Nails?” Yes! Brian: “I guessed it would be Nails before you even played it.” Matt: “Are we being graded on this?” Brian: “Let’s see if I can guess the next one before it’s played.” Ben: “I thought you’d play Nails first. They’re just everywhere, all the time.”

lright, so this one is a little mean, because it’s very niche and part of a series of EPs representing each band member’s vision and influence. This one is Kat’s, but will they guess that? Matt: “I have no idea what this is.” Ben: “This sounds newer, so I have no clue.” Brian: “It sounds kinda like Iron Monkey or Eyehategod.” Matt: “Iron Monkey are playing again!” Ben: “Is this Trap Them?” Matt: “Are they American or British?” American. Ben: “Oh, we get hints?!” Matt: “Yeah, but that doesn’t narrow it down.”
Ben: “Is this that Code Orange band?” It’s Agoraphobic Nosebleed. All: “REALLY?!” Ben: “Good curve ball. Well played.”

et’s throw in some grindcore and make things interesting. They’re not doing well so far, but maybe they’re at least discovering some new stuff to check out. Ben: “Is this female vocals?” Yeah. Ben: “Oathbreaker?” Matt: “Grindmother…?” Brian: “Sounds kinda like Fuck The Facts.” Ben: “Is this that Code Orange band? [laughs] I like it. Reminds me of ’90s screamo.” It’s Cloud Rat. Ben: “I’ve only ever seen their name, but never listened to them. That was pretty good. I’ll have to add that to my collection.”
