Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk Form - Minor TO: The 2016 World Ski & Snowboard Festival event producers, organizers and hosts, including, Watermark Communications Inc., Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc., Whistler Mountain Resort Limited Partnership, Blackcomb Skiing Enterprises Limited Partnership, Whistler Blackcomb Employment Corp., Monster Energy Canada Ltd., Monster Energy Company, Monster Beverage Corporation, the WSSF sponsors, Tourism Whistler, Her Majesty the Queen in Right of the Province of British Columbia, and their respective successors, assigns, representatives, shareholders, affiliates, direct and indirect subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, independent contractors, subcontractors, volunteers, suppliers, advertisers, promoters, sponsors (together, the “WSSF Organizations”) RE: 2016 World Ski and Snowboard Festival including but not limited to any and all related activities such as races, competitions, demonstrations and other events or activities (the “WSSF Events”)
I, _____________________________________ hereby acknowledge and agree that:
I am aware that skiing, snowboarding and participating in WSSF Events involve many inherent risks, dangers and hazards including, but not limited to: o boarding, riding and disembarking ski lifts; o changing weather conditions; o exposed rock, earth, ice, or other natural objects; trees, tree wells, tree stumps and forest dead fall; o the condition of snow or ice on or beneath the snow surface; o changes or variation in the terrain used for skiing, snowboarding and WSSF Events which may create blind spots or areas of reduced visibility; o changes or variations in the snow surface or subsurface, including changes due to man-made or artificial snow; o variable and difficult snow conditions; o streams, creeks and exposed holes in the snow pack above streams or creeks; o cliffs; o crevasses; o impact or collision with lift structures, fences, snow making equipment, snow grooming equipment, snowcats, snowmobiles and other vehicles, equipment, structures, or objects or equipment used in connection with skiing, snowboarding and WSSF Events; o snowcat roads, road-banks or cut-banks; o impact or collision with other skiers, racers, spectators, participants, competitors or course officials; o avalanches; o the failure to ski or snowboard safely or within one's own ability or within designated areas; o negligence of other skiers, snowboarders, racers, spectators, participants, competitors, course officials; and o NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE WSSF ORGANIZATIONS. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF A WSSF ORGANIZATION TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION IN WSSF EVENTS.
I am also aware that the risks, dangers and hazards referred to above exist throughout the area used for skiing, snowboarding and WSSF Events and that many are unmarked.

As a result of the risks, dangers and hazards set out above, I as a participant may suffer serious personal injury, even death, as well as property loss.
Some of the risks, dangers and hazards are set out above are foreseeable, but others are not.
I nevertheless FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS, AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND LOSS RESULTING FROM SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS. Accordingly, my preparation for, and participation in the WSSF Events will be entirely at my own risk.
I understand that none of the WSSF Organizations assumes any responsibility whatsoever for my safety during the course of my preparation for or participation in a WSSF Event.
I have carefully read this ACKNOW LEDGEMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK FORM, fully understand this Form, and acknowledge that I am freely and voluntarily executing this Form.
I have been given the opportunity and have been encouraged to seek legal and parental advice prior to signing this Form.
I clearly understand that the WSSF event organizers would not permit me to participate a WSSF Event unless I signed this Form, that this Form applies to the WSSF Events and that the terms of this Form and have been explained to me by a WSSF event organizer or one or more of their representatives and my parents; and
I am physically capable of participating in WSSF Events and that I have no pre-existing conditions that would hinder my ability to participate in WSSF Events.
