Device Management
Overview The Device Management feature provides a centralized way of managing and maintaining the inventory of phones. This feature allows the administrator to complete the following: 1. View a list of devices (e.g., phones and ATAs) assigned to your site, along with the phone numbers and MAC addresses assigned to them. 2. View line status details to see if a line is registered to the phone. 3. Management tools to modify line appearances and remotely reboot the device as needed. 4. Export the list of devices for inventory purposes or to use when assigning users to devices
Navigation To use the Device Management page, the site administrator must log into My Account, and simply follow the steps detailed below. Step 1. Go to My Site Step 2. Select the appropriate Site to configure

Step 1. Go to Device Management
Viewing the Available Devices Devices are organized in folders by make and model. The number of available devices in each make/model category is shown in parentheses following the category name. Specific phone numbers assigned to the device are displayed in the subfolders.
Step 2. Select the Phone Number to assign
Viewing Device Details Details about the device are displayed, including MAC address, number of lines available, and configured line appearances. a.
Click the Expand All button to view all devices in all folders. Devices will be listed by MAC address (12-‐character combination of numbers and letters displayed in the subfolders). OR

Click on a folder to expand it, then click the subfolder to view the details. Devices will be listed by MAC address. OR

Use the Filter by field to search for a full or partial phone number or MAC address. The Phone Number column displays the phone number(s) assigned to that device. There may be more than one number assigned if the Shared Line Appearance feature is configured to that device. If a phone number has not been assigned to that device, unassigned is displayed.
Step 3. Check Registration Status of a Device To confirm that a phone is effectively communicating with the Hosted PBX network, the Device Management tab includes a status check tool.
Once the test completes, the current status of the phone will be displayed (Registered, Aged, or Not Registered). A registered status is a positive indication of connectivity, all others indicate some issue with the connection between the phone and the network.

Step 6: Change the order of line appearance on a device: Line Appearances represent the display of lines on your phone. For example, if you have two line appearances on your phone, with your line listed first and a co-worker’s line listed second, here you can rearrange the order of the lines on the display. NOTE: The Shared Line Appearance feature must be assigned to the device before you can arrange the lines. To learn how to configure this feature, view the Shared Line Appearance Quick Reference Guide.
1.) Select the Device to Edit Details about the device are displayed, including MAC address, number of lines available, and configured line appearances. a. Click on a folder to expand it, then click the subfolder to view the details. Devices will be listed by MAC address. OR c. Use the Filter by field to search for a full or partial phone number or MAC address. 2.) Click the Detail Button a. Enter the username and password. This information is provided in your initial welcome e-‐mail.

To export the list of devices:

Click the Export button.
This will export the file as a .csv file. It will include each MAC address, the device name, and the assigned phone numbers.
Open the file locally or save it to your desktop Click the Save button.
