Sorry not sending this newsy letter for 3 weeks. Here’s what has been happening. Thanks to our willing workers the boss got to leave for a mission trip in January! It included work projects in Haiti and Mexico (photo below is an orphan in Mexico). If you would like to help the orphans; we will have cutting boards available at the farm next week to benefit the children. The last week of January we halted milk sales from The Family Cow while they checked milk that had been shipped for any traces of bacteria. The story from the farmer says it best. Everything is testing clear and we just got a fresh shipment this morning! PASA conference was very inspiring last week. It covered a wide range of subjects from learning how to better our CSA to making homestead icecream to farm labor. There was something to learn from all the workshops. And I trust we will be better to serve you in the future. ( but that icecream will probably not be making it to market of the farm store! Ask me for a recipe if you would like to try purple sweet potat icecream tho!) Have a good week!!
