Mission Prayer Moments Local Brenda and Carla Mooney, are in countdown mode for their upcoming service in APRIL with “Wheels for the World.” They need prayer warriors as they seek God’s provision in every way, to get ready to minister in Mexico, where fulfilling physical needs of “wheels” of various kinds can lead to the fulfillment of spiritual needs there also. As we support these two missions & ministry minded women, prayer is the first and most important step!

State This Sunday, March 19, “Substance Abuse Prevention” will be emphasized in many churches in Alabama. The purpose of this observance is to focus on problems caused by alcohol and other drugs and to offer Biblically-based approaches to prevention and cure. Pray for this effort to be successful, and for more people to realize their need to get help, and for those God is calling to “be” help, to answer, “Yes,” Lord, “Yes,” to His call. North America Request from the North American Mission Board: Jeff Needleman is a church planter serving in Nevada. “Pray for specific direction and the resources to go and make disciples of all nations as we seek to be a multi-ethnic and multigenerational church. Please hold New Beginnings Christian Fellowship up. Pray our little congregation grows and would be effective in evangelism and discipleship. Pray for unity, finances and for protection from the devil's attacks. We appreciate and covet your prayers!”

From the Syrian Circle Team: Wednesday, March 15th, is set aside as a day of prayer and fasting for Syria, on the day the war started six years ago.

You may find the Messenger each week on the FBC website at www.fbcandalusia.org

[continued in next column]

Here are requests from Christian workers in Syria for the two remaining groups: those who are living in survival mode, and those who have fled to various regions all over the world. That:  they would come to know Jesus and then be the very ones to take the Gospel into the hidden recesses of Islam inside of Syria and around the world.  a “Cornelius” of the Syrian Muslims would take the gospel not only to reach the Syrian refugees but to multiply across the Middle East and around the world.  Christians act on the upcoming training time in multiplication church planting  Syrian refugees would be received by local churches in all affected countries, and churches will be burdened with a desire to see that all of those affected by this conflict have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel because many ARE responding. Ask that new believers faced with ongoing and inevitable persecution would stand strong in their faith and be encouraged.
