Annual Scholarship Award
Annual Scholarship Award The Quilting Guild of The Villages (QGOTV) is offering an award of $1,000.00 to encourage and reward continuing education students who excel in the field of sewing, show commitment to the volunteer sector, and to advance future generations in continued sewing awareness.
Criteria for Application High school graduating seniors who live in Sumter, Marion, or Lake Counties Florida who have demonstrated evidence of all of the following are eligible to apply.
Accomplishments in extracurricular sewing Leadership Skills Community service activities Commitment to continuing education
Application Requirements: Applicants must provide the completed application form (may be downloaded from www.QGOTV.org) by March 31, 2018. 1. One page essay as described in the Application for Scholarship Award 2. Supporting documents/photo’s relating to our sewing achievements 3. Two (2) non-family references that have know you for 3 years. Must include name & contact numbers for references.
