APA Young Planners Group - NY Metro Chapter’s Mentorship Program Celebrates 5th Year! Join us for a unique professional development opportunity for practitioners and second-year graduate students. Applications are currently being accepted through December 8, 2013! “I have found the Mentorship Program to be a rewarding experience, first as a young planner mentee and also as a mentor. It is a great way to develop professionally, make connections, and help other planners do the same. I've met some great people and it's a great way to give back to the planning community.” - 2013 Program Mentor “I feel very fortunate to have been part of the mentorship program; during my last year as a planning student, my mentor was a source of inspiration, pushing me to imagine my dream career and life goals once I was outside of the classroom. After graduation, the program and my mentor have continued to be a wonderful resource in beginning my career, providing key advice and encouragement.” - 2013 Program Mentee “The APA's Mentorship Program has connected me with a younger generation of planners that I rarely have the opportunity to get to know well.
