AMERICA’S CUP SAILING Saturday, July 23 (1:00pm – 3:00pm) Sunday, July 24 (1:00pm – 3:00pm)
For 53 years Newport, Rhode Island was home of the infamous America's Cup – the oldest active trophy in international sport. The history and prestige associated with the America’s Cup are reflected in the fleet of 12 Meter yachts available for charter in Newport. You too can take part in an amazing sailing experience. For an unforgettable outing, take a leisurely sail through Newport Harbor to the expansive waters of Narragansett Bay. Your America’s Cup sailing experience can be as relaxed or competitive as you would like. Just sit back and enjoy the scenery or get an amazing hands-on experience of being a crew member by helping hoist sails, trimming sails on the “coffee grinders,” or steering a course. The protected waters and predictable breezes of Narragansett Bay make for a comfortable racing and cruising experience. Sailing on the winning America's Cup yachts has been voted “Best of Newport” and “Best Day on the Bay.” It will be the highlight of your visit to Rhode Island. Nowhere else in the world can you charter a comparable fleet of historic America's Cup yachts. The dock is located .2 miles from the Newport Marriott, so participants will be walking from the hotel. For more information, please check out www.americascupcharters.com. Note: This tour will be offered at a cost of $160 per person. Each boat holds 13 people and we’ll reserve as many boats as interest dictates. However, we’ll need to fill each boat completely so if we are short in meeting the requirement, we may need to cancel and refund registration fees for unfilled boats.
