With this application I am applying for a scholarship for Women in Leadership at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. I acknowledge that a scholarship covers the tuition fees only and there will be no cash payment. In applying for a scholarship, I confirm that neither I nor any third persons responsible for supporting me are able to finance the tuition fees in full. §1

General Information

(1)

The criteria set out below constitute the basis on which EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is willing to grant the EBS Scholarship to selected students to study at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht.

(2)

Taking due account of these criteria, EBS will at its own discretion decide on the selection of students and the award of the scholarship.

(3)

There is no legal claim to a decision regarding the award of the scholarship. There is no right of appeal. In particular, there is no claim to information relating to the distribution and total amount of the scholarships or the number of scholarship holders.

§2

Scope and duration of the scholarship

(1)

The scholarship covers the tuition fees within the standard duration of study for the full-time Bachelor programmes at EBS. The scholarship does not cover any other EBS fees.

(2)

The scholarship comprises the waiver of the scholarship holder's tuition fees by EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht to the amount set out in the scholarship confirmation letter from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht.

(3)

In the event of a leave of absence, the decision regarding the award of the scholarship remains effective, payment will however be suspended for the duration of the leave of absence.

(4)

In case the student terminates the study agreement without important cause, or EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht terminates the study agreement for important cause, all scholarship payments made until the exmatriculation based thereon are forthwith due for repayment. Should this constitute an unacceptable hardship to the student for personal or financial reasons, then EBS will use equitable discretion in establishing a repayment plan for scholarship payments made which reasonable balances the personal and financial capacities of the student with the reasons leading to exmatriculation, in particular taking into account from whose sphere they originate, and specifically including a partial forfeiture for reasons of personal hardship or an instalment plan in accordance with the duration of studies completed.

§3

Criteria for the award of the EBS Scholarship

(1)

Due to their financial circumstances, the applicant, the applicant's parents and any third persons responsible for supporting the applicant are unable to finance the applicant's course of study at EBS Universität fpr Wirtschaft und Recht out of their own resources. EBS will use the criteria set out below to decide on the applicant's eligibility for a scholarship:

(a)

The income of the applicant, the applicant's parents and/or third persons responsible for supporting the applicant based on the previous three payslips and the tax assessment notifications for the two calendar years preceding the scholarship application. In the event that the tax assessment notifications are not yet available, a copy of the tax return must be submitted in replacement of the tax assessment notifications.

(b)

Other funding for the applicant, regardless of origin. This includes in particular all scholarships and any other financial help the applicant receives.

The applicant is a particularly suitable female candidate for the BSc, MSc, MBA or EMBA programme at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. EBS will use the following criteria, among others, in making its decision: (a)

Excellent academic qualification, reflected in the results of the EBS BSc applications test, respectively the GMAT score for MSc and MBA candidates.

(b)

Extraordinary achievements at school, university, workplace, sports field, cultural or social engagements.

(c)

The length and quality of an applicant’s work experience (for MBA and EMBA candidates)

(d)

Minorities and people discriminated against in their own country.

(e)

Exceptional scores in the oral part of the admission process for the respective programme of study at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht.

The applicant is required to submit the complete set of documents together with his/her application to take part in the admission process at the latest by the deadline for application to the admission process. Submission after the official deadline will only be accepted with an explanation in writing of the reasons, through no fault of the applicant, for missing the deadline.

(4)

The following documents must be submitted: (a)

This application form signed by the applicant (for applicants under 18 years of age, the signature of a parent or guardian is required).

(b)

The tax assessment notifications for the two calendar years preceding the application for the applicant (providing a tax return has been submitted), the applicant's parents and any third persons responsible for supporting the applicant. In the event that tax assessment notifications are not yet available, a copy of the tax return must be submitted.

(c)

The last three payslips preceding the application of the applicant (if available), the applicant's parents and third persons responsible for supporting the applicant.

(d)

A letter of motivation written and signed by the applicant in which the applicant outlines in detail why the required amount of financial support is necessary and gives reasons why she merits a Women in Leadership scholarship. In particular the applicant should explain the reasons for applying for a specific scholarship level and support these with an underlying financing plan.

Cirriculum Vitae

Transcript of records of Bachelor’s studies.

Proof of work experience.

The following documents may also be submitted and will be taken into particular consideration when deciding on the scholarship award: (a)

Proof that the applicant has sought student financial support other than from the programmes offered by EBS and its partners.

(b)

Proof of outstanding social, cultural or sporting commitment.

(c)

A letter of recommendation from the applicant's school, a charitable organization or a similar institution describing the applicant's exceptional commitment beyond the usual school activities.

Any other documents cannot be taken into consideration and will be destroyed. The applicant, the applicant's parents and, where applicable, third persons responsible for supporting the applicant are required to disclose all the correct and complete information that is relevant for the scholarship decision and confirm that they have done so. In the event it considers the need for financial support is not sufficiently justified, EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht reserves the right to request further information. §4

Obligation to provide complete and accurate information

(1)

Applicants and students who have been awarded an EBS Scholarship for Women in Leadership are obliged to provide complete, true and accurate information that is relevant to the scholarship decision, in particular with regard to their financial circumstances, including both income and assets. EBS is entitled to request at any time any further information it may deem necessary from the applicant and EBS scholarship holders. In signing the agreement, the applicant confirms that she, her parents and any third persons responsible for supporting the applicant have made a full disclosure of their financial circumstances in accordance with § 3 paragraph 1.

(2)

Scholarship applicants and EBS Scholarship holders are required to notify EBS immediately of any change in circumstances which might affect their eligibility for a scholarship and/or of any reasons which may negatively affect continued financial support. In particular, they required to

disclose any other sources of financial assistance. This obligation also applies when support begins following the award of the EBS Scholarship. §5

Obligation to tell the truth

1)

The applicant, the applicant's parents and, where applicable, third persons responsible for supporting the applicant confirm that all information given to EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is true, accurate and complete. They are obliged to notify EBS without delay of any changes to the information supplied. The applicant is aware that EBS makes financial support decisions on the basis of the information provided by the applicant and he/she is obliged to compensate EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht for any disadvantages EBS may suffer as a result of incorrect or incomplete information.

(2)

Should information be withheld or not be provided in accordance with §5 paragraph 1, EBS reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship in part or in total, to seek repayment of any parts of the scholarship already made and, where false information has been supplied wilfully or with gross negligence, to terminate the study agreement.

§6

Termination of the scholarship

(1)

In justified cases, for instance due to personal misconduct, EBS has the right to terminate the scholarship.

(2)

In such a case, the student concerned must be heard. In the event of a breach of §§ 3, 4 and 5 of this application, a hearing is unnecessary.

§7

Confirmation As an applicant for the EBS Scholarship I herewith confirm that my parents, any third persons responsible for my support and I do not have sufficient financial resources to cover the tuition fees.
