Fiona Reynolds Global Dialogue Scholarship 2016 FAQs YOU ARE INVITED TO APPLY Women in Super is proud to offer members the opportunity to attend the 6th Global Dialogue, run by the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees, to be held in the USA in 2016. Held every two years, the Global Dialogue is an intimate and in-depth conference targeted at Senior Executives and Trustees within the superannuation industry. The 6th Dialogue will be held in Boston and will feature a combination of traditional conference sessions and field trips to give delegates the opportunity to experience first-hand the real investment opportunities in the USA. Women in Super is offering one scholarship, worth $10,000, which covers conference registration, accommodation and meals during the conference and $2,000 towards airfare expenses. Applications are encouraged from women who would benefit from the conference and who would not otherwise be able to attend.
What will the selection panel be looking for? The judging panel will be looking for a demonstration of the relevance of the conference program in delivery of tangible benefits to your career and benefits to WIS from your attendance. Who is on the selection panel? The panel will include the National Chair WIS, CEO AIST and one WIS member holding a senior position within the industry. Will I have to attend an interview? The panel will consider and make their decision on the written applications. How do I access the money? Women in Super will directly pay the conference registration fee, and provide the recipient with economy class travel to and from the USA up to the value of $10,000.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP The scholarship is worth $10,000 which covers registration, accommodation, meals and up to $2,000 to cover an economy airfare.

Women in Super member for two years or more. Eligibility to attend the AIST Global Dialogue will apply. Applications must be received by the deadline to be considered.

Your current curriculum vitae, including employment history. Description of how attendance at Global Dialogue will assist your career. Description of how you believe your participation at Global Dialogue may benefit WIS. Supportive statements from two referees. Willingness to attend a pre and post Global Dialogue meeting with the WIS National Chair; write report/article for dissemination via the WIS network (website, newsletter, media etc); speak at a WIS networking function in their state if requested; assist to promote the scholarship in 2016/7; participate in any WIS media promotion of the scholarship before or after attendance at the Global Dialogue.
