APPRENTICESHIP REIMBURSEMENT Apprenticeships can be costly; that’s why CLAC is committed to helping our apprentices pay for the schooling they need for their career. CLAC has set up the Saskatchewan Training Fund (STF) to assist you with trade school fees. Below is a list of guidelines for applying for reimbursement of a portion of your tuition and book expenses. 1. The person applying for reimbursement must be a member in good standing of Local 151. A member in good standing for the purposes of this fund is defined as a person who: b. has completed a membership application form; c. has been granted a current membership card; and d. has paid his/her dues up to date. 2. The member must have worked a minimum of 1,500 hours per school year with any CLAC-signatory employer that contributes to the Local 151 STF. 3. The member must be able to prove successful completion of the term with official school documentation.*

CLAC was founded on the European model of Christian labour unions, which applies principles of social justice to labour relations and the workplace. We foster an environment of mutual respect, fairness, and dignity. We believe in facilitating productive dialogue rather than adversarial relations, to strengthen rather than fracture relationships between employers and employees, and to cooperate and serve long term rather than short term interests. We believe that workers deserve to be recognized and fairly compensated for the hard work they do, to be treated fairly and with respect, and to go home safe.
