APQS Spa Treatment What is a “Spa Treatment?” APQS machines are built to industrial standards so that they can stand up to the rigors of factory and workroom use, yet they require simple, minimal daily maintenance to provide peak performance for several years. In fact, that’s why we can offer a lifetime warranty on our new machines—we build them to last! However, just like all machines, eventually some parts wear down after repeated use and need some love and attention. If you follow the recommended machine maintenance procedures by keeping your machine clean and properly oiled, you will be able to quilt for a very long time without any additional maintenance for your machine. But if you start to see a change in your machine’s performance or its stitch quality is not what it once was, it may be time to consider an APQS MiniSpa or Deluxe Spa package for your “baby”! Plus, if you have been considering any upgrades to your system such as new wheels, installing them during a Spa Treatment is the perfect time to add them to your machine!
Which “Spa Treatment” is right for me? An APQS Mini-Spa is ideal for customers who may not quilt every day, but who would feel better having everything “checked out” at some point by a Certified Technician to ensure everything is working properly. During a Mini-Spa process, your technician will evaluate your machine, check components, clean it thoroughly and only repair or replace items that show significant wear that may compromise your machine’s performance. The machine is tuned-up and ready for your next quilting project. The APQS Deluxe Spa process is best suited for machines that have been in service for a number of years and have been heavily used, increasing the chance for more wear and tear on parts. The Deluxe Spa takes the guesswork out of long-term machine maintenance by ensuring that key wear components on your machine are not just “evaluated”—they are automatically replaced. Then the machine is adjusted and fine-tuned to restore it to factory settings. It’s almost like starting out with a new machine! New parts mean many more years of worry-free happy quilting. The chart below shows how the two services compare. Some items such as the wheels or hopping foot may also be upgraded during either service for an additional fee.

Prices assume that total mileage does not exceed 60 miles from The Quilt Crossing (our Longarm Lassses can use Mapquest to figure mileage and give you a quote). If total mileage (pickup & delivery) exceeds 60 miles, .43 cents per mile will apply beyond the 60 miles. It is perfectly acceptable to bring your machine head into be serviced (providing there are no issues that require troubleshooting with the machine on your frame); on the return of your machine, we would prefer to deliver the serviced machine so that we can test the machine in your home/business to ensure that you are 100% satisfied after the service. If there are parts that need to be repaired that are outside of the parts listed, a quote will be provided for parts/labor prior to any work being done. We will work will each customer 1:1 to arrange a date/time for your service to occur. Two weeks from your scheduled service date, we will reach out for 50% down your service with the balance due at completion of the service. Cancellations within one week of your service date will result in a $100 2 cancellation charge. Changes/Rescheduling within a one week period will result in a $75 charge
