This week’s sermon John Wrote So That We May Believe! John 20:30-31 Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 5:8 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. John 14:6 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 20:30-31 30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

ICEBREAKER: What’s the most important thing you’ve ever done? REFLECTION QUESTIONS: Read 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. How does the resurrection impact some of the crucial beliefs of Christianity? How would Christianity be different if there was no resurrection? How would you be different without the resurrection? Read 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. What are some specific ways that the resurrection gives us hope? If you had been a friend of Jesus when he was on earth, how would the resurrection have impacted your life? How do you think his followers then were affected by the resurrection? Read 1 Corinthians 15:58. What do you think Paul expected of people as a result of the resurrection? What do you think it means to “give yourself fully to the work of the Lord?” How can you do that? What would a life look like that was completely sold out to doing the same things Jesus did? What would it take for you to pursue that?
