Dear Church Family, These days of sunny skies and cooler temperatures are inspiring gifts. I want, in taking on a semiprophet-of-doom role, to remind us all that August is coming. Enjoying with significant gratitude what we have now is a great plan. Even a godly plan. Gifts like this are to be received humbly (we didn’t earn this weather) and enjoyed gratefully.

Please pray for our Turkey Mission Team Prayer concerns for the team include the spiritual growth of each participant, the opportunities to share their faith with people unexpectedly, their safety and well-being. Please be in prayer for them as they make preparations, travel and serve. They will be ministering to Missionaries and their children as the Missionaries train to work in European countries. Sunday

4.22

I point that out not just to reemphasize what was said on Sunday, but also to remind us of the rhythm to which we dance in life. There are times of glorious sunrises and cool temperatures with light breezes. There are times of thunderstorms and howling winds. There are times where the warm sun feels like heaven on your face. There are times when the heat is so oppressive outside that even the mosquitos stay inside. True in weather. True in life. Some are enjoying the sun upon their faces and the sweetness of a light breeze. Some are dead in the middle of the storm and fear is their most faithful and most constant companion. Some are struggling like trying to run a marathon in August, trying to catch their breath, limping and panting and not sure they can make it. For any and all, I want to remind us: God is the God of all of those. Jesus doesn’t just reign over some of the things of our lives but all of them. He is with us in the good and bad. He is with us in the dark and light. He is with us in the heat and cool. He is with us in life and death. He is with us. God is with you. May you know it deep down in your bones today. And may it be evident in how you live your everyday life. Kingdom… Trent
