2012 SAMPLER Quilts Plus 2012 Sampler has two new color ways to choose from: featuring delft blue or batik. This 12 month program meets as follows: 2nd Monday of each month at 10:15, 1:30 or 3:30; or the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:15. Sign up now, as class space is limited. Laura will be demonstrating options for construction at each session. If your scheduled times are not convenient, or you prefer not to come to a meeting at all, you may pick up your block any time after the 2nd Monday of each month – or we can set up a program to mail your blocks to you. Each Saturday following the meeting, there will be a Choose Your Project available where you will be able to assemble your block if you choose. ―Over the Rainbow‖ is the newest introduction by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts for Moda. It has been receiving rave reviews! This quilt is done using Edyta‘s Silhouettes. These are custom laser cut shapes with pre-applied, Steam a Seam 2 fusible web, ready to arrange, fuse and/or appliqué. There are 9 background blocks and these are 16‖ each. The pieced border is done using a charm pack of Edyta‘s Over the Rainbow fabrics. There are MANY options for this quilt, and we hope you will be able to find one that is suitable for you! OPTION #1 – PURCHASE OF THE WHOLE QUILT UP FRONT. If you want to purchase the whole kit for the top and binding of this quilt, the cost will be $447.00. Purchasing the quilt in this manner will result in significant savings. A $50.00 deposit is required. The balance due upon receipt will be $350.00, saving you $47.00. OPTION #2 – BLOCK OF THE MONTH. If you enjoy block of the month quilts, this is the one for you. There will be some up-front costs, then the balance will be spread out over 10 months. Up-front costs include: $25.00 for the pattern, $12.00 for the charm pack and 5 yards of background fabric. The monthly cost will be $35.00/month for 10 months. OPTION #3 – A SINGLE SILHOUETTE Perhaps you just want to make a pillow or two…or a wall hanging. You can purchase the pattern for $25.00, then purchase the silhouettes individually for $25.00 each. You will need a fat quarter of fabric for each silhouette. A bed runner using 3 or 4 silhouettes would be stunning! If you want to add a border silhouette to your creation, they cost $35.00 each.
