Begin Quilting
Tuesdays April 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th 10:30-2:30 Taught by: Diane Marvin Cost: $40.00 + pattern + supplies This Lucky Stars pattern will be your first quilt. Learn how to quilt and start having more fun than you can imagine. This quilt can be made any size from crib to king (although we suggest starting with the throw size) by using fat quarters. The color combinations are endless and we will be glad to help you select your fabrics.
Machine Quilting
Wednesdays April 4th, 11th and 18th 10:00-3:00 Taught by: Professional Quilter Gretchen Adams Cost: $45 These classes are designed to take you from beginner to confident machine quilter. Gretchen will guide you through the process of machine quilting and you will soon be creating in a way you never thought possible. A good working relationship with your sewing machine is necessary. Please make sure your machine is in good working order and has the proper needles, bobbins, a walking foot and a free motion foot for this class. For the beginner and beyond.
Coiled Baskets
Friday, April 13th 10:30-4:00 Taught by: Gretchen Adams Cost: $25.00 Back by special request!! Gretchen will once again be teaching her technique for making these great baskets. These baskets make a great addition to any room or keep them for your sewing room to hold all the “stuff” that you seem to accumulate. For the comfortable beginner and beyond. *Special note: a zipper foot is needed for this class.
Quilt As You Go Tote
Saturday, April 14th and 21st 10:00-2:00 Taught by: Paula Taylor Cost: $35.00 Everyone can always use another tote and this one is a beauty! Paula has developed her quilt as you go block into a tote pattern and even the handle is creative. This is a 2 part class so please note the dates above. For the beginner and beyond.
Open Sew
Always on Mondays and other days as the schedule allows. Please note that this month we have Open Sew time on several days other than Mondays. We have Friday, April 6th from 10:00-6:00 and Thursday, April 12th from 10:00-9:00. We don’t usually have the space available to have an Open Sew on an evening that we are open. So if you are still working and haven’t been able to take advantage of the day-time Open Sew slots hopefully April 12th will work for you. Remember this is a time for you to sew not a time for instruction.
