ASAC PRAYER MINISTRY (Current)

ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH Prayer Ministry (Under the Spiritual Direction of Fr. Filmore Strunk)

Our Vision: The vision of the prayer ministry is that All Saints Anglican Church will be a unified house of prayer through which God’s power is unleashed to bring about His kingdom goals in this world. (Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13a) Mission Statement: The mission of the prayer ministry of All Saints Anglican Church is to encourage and engage the body of Christ to bring the power and importance of prayer into all areas of the church ministries.

 

Ministry Goals for the Body of Christ at All Saints Anglican Church (ASAC) 1. Inspire the desire and urgency for prayer. 2. Provide instruction and example in prayer. 3. Provide ongoing prayer opportunities and events. 4. Recruit volunteers to carry out this ministry. 5. Insure that all prayer requests of the body are addressed in a timely, appropriate and confidential manner. 7. Support ASAC and its leaders (priests, staff, vestry, ministries and congregation) with specific and consistent prayer. 8. Provide prayer support for our mission programs around the world.

     

Personal Intercession with trained prayer ministers available during/after communion in designated prayer area. Anointing with Holy Oil by priest and general prayer for healing of mind, body and spirit at altar after communion. Weekly Intercession Wednesdays at church office or designated location. Personal intercession available for rector and assisting priests. Corporate intercessions for all prayer requests submitted through website, phone call to office or submitted in Prayer Request box at Welcome Center on Sunday. Prayer ministry appointments available by request with prayer team member(s). Appointments scheduled through prayer ministry leader(s) or ASAC office as available. Inner healing ministry using the McNutt School of Healing Prayer ministries model. Quarterly Healing Prayer Service fourth Saturday 9:00-12:00 (March, June, September, December) Semiannual Reconciliation Service Saturday 9:00-12:00 (Lent and Advent) Monthly Soaking Prayer fourth Saturday 9:30-11:00 Prayer focused Adult Classes Summer Book Club for small group or self-directed study.

   

 

Youth/family prayer support through intercession, support Youth/Children’s ministry directors. Intercessor training and mentoring by designated prayer team member(s). Small Group prayer focused Bible study. Mobile prayer resource library provides a wide range of prayer related resources, located at CCHS in the cafeteria during fellowship Sunday coffee hour. Prayer and Reflection Retreats available. Intercessor training for personal and/or corporate use.

WHAT’S AHEAD?    

Presentations at small groups available upon request. Ongoing training – intercessors continuing education provided. Christian Healing Ministry Alumni - Charlotte area chapter providing network of support for CHM alumni. Guest speakers may be invited to facilitate prayer-focus workshops, conferences, seminars and/or other events.
