TELESCOPIC PLATFORMS Telescopic platform seating continues to be utilized in more venues and in more applications than ever before. At Irwin Seating Company, we remain committed to the markets we serve by developing new and innovative telescopic seating solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. We do this by truly embracing the “voice of the customer” process. This commitment and dedication has led us to our latest product developments which include two new seating options; the Prestige Series and Integra chair lines. Each has their own set of unique features and benefits that are sure to stand out from the crowd! We’ve also added further enhancements to our telescopic understructure systems, and designed the new IDS power system to ensure smooth, dependable operation.
PRESTIGE SERIES NOSE MOUNT SEATING
PRESTIGE SERIES FORWARD FOLD SEATING
Our telescopic nose mount chairs have always offered unparalleled comfort and design continuity between the fixed seating and telescopic seating. The Prestige system is available with our most popular backs and seats like the No. 91 Millennium back pictured here.
Like the Nose Mount system, the Prestige Series Forward Fold chair incorporates the same host of features and benefits into its design, while allowing the entire chair to fold in a more traditional means for storage. Prestige Forward Fold is available on telescopic units with a 14” or greater row rise.
The new Prestige Series is designed to assist the operations staff with the industry’s first semi-automated nose mount chair system! This unique design incorporates a spring assist system that aids in raising the backs, while dampening the folding motion. Simply activate the chair release mechanism and the backs automatically fold to the stored position. This innovative, patent pending design greatly reduces set-up and take-down times, while placing less physical stress on the crew.
The Stackable Riser System or SRS (shown below) features the same forward fold chair design in a lowrise, non-telescopic system. SRS units are typically used in facilities performing “changeovers” from hockey to basketball. Units are placed in front of the dasher boards to provide premium seating at court level. Once the permanently attached chairs are folded, a forklift is used to stack the units and transport them to a storage area.
The next several pages showcase these and many other innovative solutions we offer, and how you too can experience the Irwin Difference!

INTEGRA SEATING
ENGINEERED FLEXIBILITY
Integra was designed with a spacious sitting area and thoughtful contours to create an attractive, comfortable chair. Integra is available with upholstered pads for additional comfort. The Integra beam mount system sets a new standard for functionality with a choice of manual or semiautomatic chair operation and multiple armrest options. The forward fold mechanism is supplied with a protective dust / debris cover to help reduce clean up times. To address durability Integra has been engineered to meet all standard industry requirements for spectator seating as well as our own rigorous internal testing. Talk with your Irwin Seating representative today and find out if Integra is the right choice for your facility.
Non-Upholstered Integra
Maximizing capacity and performing quick change-overs between events are critical requirements for today’s multi-purpose arenas. Our telescopic products are engineered to meet those requirements while helping to provide patrons with a safe and comfortable experience.

Elephant Doors Hydraulically operated elephant doors are another option for entrance areas and allow greater clearance for moving large objects into the arena, while also providing additional seating when in the lowered position.
Portable Towers Portable or rolling towers are used when the section design and shape exceeds the limitations of a telescopic unit, or when a tunnel is required. These are commonly used for player entrances.
Wall Attached Units Wall attached or recessed sections are the backbone of telescopic seating and used in most every configuration and available in either rectangular or tapered sections.
Portable Units Portable sections play a vital role in creating the flexibility needed to reconfigure the seating for different types of events. Portable units can be designed to fit your specific requirements.
Airlift System Portable units typically utilize a heavy-duty, built-in airlift system to raise the portable platform units off the floor. Once the platforms are raised the sections can be relocated by a series of compound swivel casters.
High Back
Tapered / Custom Sections The versatility of many of today’s arenas lies in the end zone seating. Converting from maximum seating capacity to off-set ice or an end stage concert configuration is critical. We understand this concept and have the expertise to design a system to fit your exact requirements.
Armless Integra
Spanner Decks Lift-out spanner decks are located in the entrance areas of an arena and connect the precast or fixed platform units providing additional spectator seating. This spanner deck is shown with built-in forklift tubes.
Low Rise Platforms Low rise platforms, whether telescopic or demountable in design can be supplied with as little as 4” row rise and are typically used with folding chairs.

Irwin Seating offers two telescopic understructure systems to choose from, the Model 4500 and Model 5000. Both deliver the solid foundation required for today’s heavy use facilities, and include the same operational advantages (see details). Each model is available with all seating options, with the exception of the Prestige Series seating, which requires the Model 5000. To learn more about which model is right for your facility, contact your Irwin Seating Company representative today.
Deck Support Roller Our power operated telescopic systems use a heavy-duty Integral Drive System (IDS) that applies the operating forces directly to the first row of the understructure. This unique design creates reliable, consistent operation. IDS is also available with an optional steerable system that lets the operator make corrections when opening the unit up. Larger systems, individually operated sections and tapered section include a dual motor design (see inset) to ensure smooth operation and proper alignment. The IDS System is available in 208/480V 3-phase or 120V single phase, U.L. Listed system. 9

OPTIONS & ACCESSORIES It’s often said details are what distinguish one project from another, so we offer a wide array of accessories designed specifically to help add those final touches of function, comfort and beauty.
Function and comfort are important aspects in any classroom environment or students become distracted and the instruction can be lost. To help keep focus where it needs to be and accommodate today’s athletes we have designed a chair that is deeper, wider and taller than the average auditorium chair.
