A De Chelly sandstone form ation located ju st inside the N avajo Tribal Park on the southw est co m er o f Sentinel M esa, Sentinel Tow er, was clim bed by Stan M ish and Dan Longm ade (III, 5.9). A previously unreported clim b was m ade by M ish and G len R ank, who clim bed the east face o f the T otem Pole. The five previous ascents o f this tow er were m ade by the 1957 w est-face route.
