Additional entry requirements: Students will be required to have Grade 5 in an Art and Design subject at GCSE.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW OR BE ABLE TO DO BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE?
A range of approaches to recording images such as immigration, observation, analysing and expression. You will develop an understanding of conventions and genres, develop a range of techniques and an understanding of formal elements, tone, texture, shape, form and composition. You will also develop knowledge of meaning though visual exploration in a social or personal context.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Mandatory units at A Level internally marked and externally moderated compromising of coursework portfolio and controlled assignment.
WHAT COULD I GO ON TO DO AT THE END OF THIS COURSE?
Foundation Art and Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, Fashion, Graphics & Illustration, Art Therapy, Advertising, etc...
