Asset Tracker | AT1000 CONTAINER LOCK
1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 OVERVIEW The AT1000 Container Lock is based on rugged, massive container lock and AT1000, which secures AT1000 from harsh blows, informs on lock opening and provides all track and trace information generated by AT1000. The main usage is controlling the container on its way between the port and the warehouse and vice versa. The idea is that once the container arrives at the port, the AT1000 Container Lock can be installed within less than a minute and from that moment the customer knows where their goods are, where bottlenecks are, if someone tries to open the doors, and more. The lock is designed to support dry van types of ISO containers. For other containers the lock may be less optimal or possibly even nonfunctional.
1.2 HIGHLIGHTS • Supports all rich functionality of the AT1000 such as movement detection, controlling transmission rate, up to 3 year battery life, IP67, and more.
• Massive and rugged design protecting AT1000 from harsh blows. • Opening lock detection. • Very easy and short (less than one minute) installation process without the need to open the container.
• Battery charging via external connector, no need to open the lock. 1.3 ABBREVIATIONS

7 APPLICATION NOTES
The first model contains 5 holes in the sliding bar where the first hole is not functional, as demonstrated in the picture in the installation section. Later models contain only 4 holes. When the lock is properly installed (the pin is inserted between the second and fifth hole) the lock switch is in ON state. If the sliding bar is not located in the appropriate position the lock switch is in OFF state. In the default configuration the AT1000 reports (sends an event message) on each lock switch state change. Please note that in the default configuration the AT1000 reports on lock switch ON when the lock is properly installed and on OFF when the lock is opened. Due to the container lock metal box on the front side and the container metal wall on the rear side, reduced GPS performance is observed. The customer should validate the GPS performance suits their specific environment.
