Atkins Kroll 11th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest Local student artists can represent Guam and CNMI at the Global Contest in Japan (Tamuning, GUAM) January 13, 2017 – Atkins Kroll today announced the launch of the 11th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, open to students in Guam and the CNMI under the age of 15. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (DCAC) Contest is the largest global art contest giving children throughout the world the opportunity to develop an interest in cars and helps them feel the joy and importance of having a dream. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest invites children from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. Toyota believes in nurturing the creativity of the next generation of great inventors, thinkers and dreamers. Every great idea was born in the glimmer of a dream. “Last year was an exciting time for Guam and the Marianas, as one student from Saipan was selected from 884,531 entries as one of the thirty global finalists,” said Ernie Galito, Marketing & Communications Director. “These young dreamers plus their parents and guardians were given tours at a Toyota factory and experienced various aspects of Japanese culture on a four-day trip to Japan”. In addition, Atkins Kroll will select one student from Guam and Saipan, to join the global contest finalists as a representative of our region. “So at least one student from the Marianas will go to Japan this August,” added Galito. “Atkins Kroll and our participating partners encourage all teachers, administrators and parents to support student participation in this contest and look forward to challenging our students to dream,” Galito said. Entries will be accepted at Atkins Kroll Toyota in Tamuning until Tuesday, February, 2017 and the contest is open to students in the following age categories: under 7 years old; 8-11 years old and 12-15 years old. Students are encouraged to create their “Dream Car” using any standard drawing medium (coloring pencils, crayons, watercolors or markers) with the only restriction being the use of digital tools. Toyota is looking for hand-drawn colorful artwork that illustrates "My Dream Car”. For more information visit AKguam.com or contact Athena Ramos at
