STUDENT MINISTRY “BIG Group Wednesdays” starting September 6, “Back 2skool” bash Our first Big Group of the year will be on Wednesday, September 6th. We are going to get the year off with a Back-2-Skool Bash! Come ready to play some games, eat some food, and hear what we are doing this Fall!

"MOVE UP" Sunday for Children and Students, August 27th We will promote our children and students to their new classes here at Towne South on Sunday, August 27th. Upcoming 6th-12th grade students will have a breakfast social to welcome the new 6th graders to the student ministry and get them acquainted with their new adult leaders. Instead of a formal ceremony of sorts, we like to do this as small receptions in the individual classes. So, the new Kindergarteners, 6th graders, 9th Graders, and College age, will head on to their new assigned classes on August 27th.

OFFERING We give out of our love for God to support His work here on earth. If you are a guest we welcome you to express your gratitude but do not feel pressured.

DECISIONS At the end of the service an invitation is extended and is an opportunity for you to walk forward to accept Jesus as your Savior, rededicate your life, transfer your membership or ask for prayer and spiritual counsel.

BAPTISM Immersion in water pictures the death and burial of our old life without Jesus and the beginning of our new life as His follower. It is the moment when God’s grace unites with our faith providing forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Consider your neighbors, friends, family, and co-workers that are not associated with Towne South and ask how can we serve them? Maybe you have a neighbor that can’t keep up with their yard and might need a hand or maybe a roof leak fixed. Think how when we pull our resources together we are able to make a lasting difference in that person’s life. If you learn of such a project that would serve someone, please contact Jonathan at [email protected] or 252.312.3232

JAMTOWNE PRESCHOOL Ways to Support our JAMtowne Preschool

The most vital and important way that you can support this ministry is through your prayers! Some specifics to pray for are the families who have enrolled, the ones that will enroll, and for the preschool Director and staff as they continue to make needed preparations. God moves through our diligent, persistent prayers, so Please PRAY! Another important way that you can help is through sharing the preschool opportunity with everyone you know!!! This church has grown immensely through your sharing with others about Towne South. “Word of mouth” is one of the most effective ways to grow just about anything, so talk it up! Some other ways that you can help support the preschool is through donations, either monetary or by helping to stock their supply closet.

JAMtowne Preschool display

There you will find a variety of needs listed. Please take a post it note with you, and then return the items to the containers provided. If you’d prefer to share a monetary gift to be used toward those purchases, please leave that with the Welcome Center staff. There are flyers that you can take and share located at the Welcome Center, and there is detailed information at www.tscoc.com. We have an incredible opportunity at hand, so let’s pull out all the stops! Let’s PRAY like it all depends on God, and WORK like it all depends on us!
