It is open to the public and is especially intended for the officers in the various services. Ceremonial units have been invited to participate as an honor guard. On Going ~ Barbara Saunders wants you to know she will be hosting an – Adult Forum Class in October Have you ever wondered “Who were these men (disciples) who followed Christ? What were they like and how did they come to know Jesus?” “Why did Jesus chose these twelve men?” We hear about the Gospel accounts of the twelve through the stories of Christ’s ministry and their interactions with Him. But what about each individual man & his own story? This fall I will conduct a class on my reading of these disciples in a book that Carol Thompson loaned to me to read. This book, and its account of the why, who, and what does it really mean to be a disciple, has been very inspiring. The class will be on Sunday mornings from 9:00 – 9:40 starting in October. If you want to read the book, Amazon has many copies (hardback & paperback) at very reasonable prices. It is Twelve Ordinary Men by John MacArthur. Please join me even if you can’t read the book. Their lives, and the story are worth discussing and we can all relate to that “unknowing” of many things in this life like the Apostles did.
